John C. Park, DVM
A native of Estill County, Dr. Park graduated from Auburn University in June of 1997 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Later that same year, Dr. Park opened a mixed practice, Estill Veterinary Services, in Irvine Kentucky. He later moved the practice to Winchester Kentucky, in June of 2001, first known as Park Animal Care. Dr. Park's interest moved exclusively toward equine in 2004, then the practice name changed to Park Equine Hospital. Dr. Park provides all veterinary services with a special interest in surgery. Dr. Park resides in Winchester Kentucky, with his wife Tonya and sons Alec and Blake.
John B. Amyx, DVM
Dr. Amyx began his career with Dr. John Park in the summer of 1998 after obtaining an associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Morehead State University while continuing his pre-veterinary requirements. He began attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in the spring of 2001 and graduated with a Doctorate in 2004, after completing his clinical year at Texas A& M University. Dr. Amyx has been an associate veterinarian at Park Equine Hospital since the fall of 2004. Dr. Amyx is originally from Wolfe County and currently resides in Winchester Kentucky, with his wife Jessica and son Jacob.
Travis McVey, DVM
Originally from Mt. Sterling, Dr. McVey received a degree in chemistry from Morehead State University in 2002. He went on to Auburn University where he graduated in 2006 with a degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McVey provides all routine veterinary services with a special interest in podiatry. Dr. McVey resides in Mt. Sterling Kentucky with his wife Kristi and daughter Olivia.
Nathaniel Q. Newton, DVM
Dr. Newton joined Park Equine Hospital in the spring of 2008 after graduating from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has a special interest in Equine Reproduction and is responsible for the majority of the advanced reproductive services at Park Equine. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and discussing his Arabian horses.
Travis Burns, DVM
Originally from Paris Kentucky, Dr. Burns received a bachelors degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 2006. He then graduated with a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 2010. Dr. Burns provides all equine services at Park Equine Hospital. Dr. Burns resides in Lexington Kentucky, with his wife Lindsey.
