About Us

Park Equine Hospital was established in 2001, by Dr. John Park. This practice was built upon one simple principle: to provide the very best care to our clients and their beloved horses. At Park Equine Hospital, we take the health of your horse(s) seriously, holding our level of care to the highest of medical standards. We provide a comprehensive list of medical and surgical services, randing from the daily routine care to the emergency/critical case.

We are pleased to offer two full service equine hospitals, in two convenient locations. The original hospital is located on Paris Pike (inside Bourbon County), and the newly opened second hospital is located on Versailles Rd. (inside Woodford County), both situated in the heart of the beautiful bluegrass horse country. Both facilities consist of climate controlled exam and treatment rooms, fully equipped surgical suites, padded induction/recovery rooms, comfortable stalls, isolation quarters, and multiple paddocks. Additionally, each hospital provides an onsite laboratory and pharmacy (both with a convenient drive through window).

Our client base encoumpasses a broad range of horse enthusiasts from across the United States and around the world. We service all breeds and disciplines; ranging from pleasure, show, and sport horses to the family pony.
