After high school, Dr. Wimms spent a year working with horses and traveling the world. Her highlights include; shadowing vets in New Zealand and volunteering with rescue elephants in rural Thailand. Dr. Wimms then moved to Scotland for five years, attending The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh to obtain her bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery.
